Ho Ho Ho!

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!!

AJ's 1st Christmas! He got a Santa suit from Grandpa Czajkowski and a LOT of presents: lots of clothes, lots of noisy toys, and a couple other things, too! Of course, by the 2nd gift AJ was completely worn out and fell asleep! Next year should be much more lively for him. Plus, he has another Christmas to go--Grandma & Grandpa Thomasson and ALL of his uncles will be visiting in a couple of days!

Santa Baby

Here's AJ on his first Christmas Eve! He wore the green outfit to regular church and the Christmas Eve service and then he's dressed in his baseball outfit for bedtime. Even had a Christmas Eve bath (didn't like it)!

Annual Christmas Party & Charitable Event

Our Annual Christmas Party & Charitable Event was a success! Donations are still coming, but so far we've raised over $2100 for memory boxes at Fair Oaks Hospital in memory of Catherine!! This beats last year's amount raised! We are so grateful that our friends and family support us and help us keep Catherine's memory alive. It means so much to us that we're helping others and keeping her memory positive. Thanks everyone!!

Go Yankees!

Here's a picture of AJ in his nifty cool New York Yankees outfit his buddy Brian Kelly got him and he's hanging out in his Bumbo seat (Daddy calls it his "Plinko" seat though)!

Holding my head up!

AJ now holds his head up quite easily! Plus, he prefers to stand a lot and last Friday (Dec. 15th) he rolled over for the first time! Daddy & Mommy were both present when he flipped from front to back, although it was completely in frustration from being on his stomach!

AJ's First Church Service

AJ attended his first church service at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Danville--the same church his Mommy grew up in and where his Mommy & Daddy were married! He was quiet as a mouse and caught a few catnaps, too!

AJ's First Thanksgiving

AJ celebrated his first Thanksgiving in Danville with Grandma & Grandpa Thomasson, Uncle Todd, Uncle Alex, and Mom & Dad (he had a pre-Thanksgiving meal with Grandpa Czajkowski earlier). He sat in his swing between Mom & Dad at the table and was a very good boy. He only fussed because he wanted to be at the same level as everyone else. Once he was sitting in someone's lap, he was happy!

AJ's First Long Car Trip

AJ travelled to Danville today to his "Meet and Greet" at Grandma's and Grandpa's church. He was the BEST baby for the 4+ hours in the car! He sleep the whole time and only cried once in Lynchburg which was quickly resolved with a 4 oz. bottle. Mommy was very, very relieved and thankful!! AJ also had a great time meeting all of the Mount Olivet people--definitely a charmer. Now he's settling in at Grandma's & Grandpa's for the week. So far, he's handling the spoiling pretty good. ;-)

Busy Weekend!

What a busy weekend! First, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Friday. Then, Saturday, AJ attended his first birthday party--Annalise Bodnar's 1 year Birthday. The pictures are from the party. After the party, AJ was babysat by his Aunt Katie (with assistance from Uncle Jason and Uncle Todd) while we attended our friends', Teak's & Joetta's, wedding reception. Overall he was pretty good, but did give them about 45 minutes of crying to break them in. Thank goodness he's cute!!

Memory Boxes

Catherine's story and legacy was published! Andy and I were featured in a small article in Inova Hospital's newsletter/mailer about Catherine and the memory boxes we donated in her memory. It was a little surprising to open the mailer and see our picture in it! Hopefully this will get the word out and perhaps inspire a few more people to donate to the Perinatal and Infanct Loss Fund at Fair Oaks! We're hoping to beat our total amount raised last year!

2 Month Visit

AJ had his 2 month follow up appointment at the doctor's today! He's now a whopping 11 pounds, 1o ounces and 23 1/2 inches long! He's in the 50% percentile for weight, the 75% percentile for height, and the 10% percentile for his head (beetlejuice!). He also got 4 vaccinations and is not feeling too hot right now. Perhaps we'll get more than 2-3 hours of sleep at a time tonight!

AJ's First Halloween

Here's our little guy in his Halloween Tiger head piece. Unfortunately, AJ grew and did not fit into the rest of his costume, but at least we got a cute picture of him in his head piece! He spent his first Halloween night sleeping through the doorbell rings.

Welcome!

Ok, so we're trying this blog thing to keep everyone updated on AJ's ever-changing growth. Please bear with us as we figure this all out on very limited sleep!
