AJ and his "magic" foot

Today AJ learned a new trick: how to stop his swing with his right foot! He was so proud of himself and we were having a good time watching him do it! We'd start the swing, he would swing for a bit, and then VOILA! He'd swing his right foot over, plant it on the leg of the swing, and it would come to a dead stop. Then, he just proudly sits there with his right foot planted on the swing and a big smile on his face!

Catherine's 2nd Birthday

Today Catherine would have turned 2 years old. It's hard to believe that two years have passed since the day that we got the tragic news that our little girl had passed away. There isn't a day that goes by that we do not miss our little girl, and it saddens us that AJ will never know his big sister on this earth. To honor her birthday, Jill made Catherine a chocolate cake and got her a card. We also had flowers placed on the alter at the church where the pastor who baptized her preaches in her memory this past Sunday. We're also very thankful to have caring friends and family who all reached out to us during this difficult time. It means so much to have your support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

If tears could build a stairway

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines Day!! AJ got to spend extra time with his Mommy and Daddy this morning because work was opening one hour late from all of the sleet that came down last night. He helped Daddy give Mommy cards from both of them and some potted red tulips that are so pretty!!

AJ's First Spoon-Fed Meal

AJ was introduced to oatmeal today. His initial reaction was quite entertaining. We think he did manage to swallow *some* of it, but the majority of it was kicked back out. He kept thinking he was getting his sugary Zantac medicine and was always "shocked!" to discover it was oatmeal instead!

5 Months Old!

AJ is 5 months old today! Since it's so bitterly cold, he dressed up today in his sweater and matching hat (which he actually kept on his head but fussed when it covered his eyes). Hopefully now that he's a big 5 months old, he'll decided to sleep more than 3-4 hours at a time!
