Uncle Jason to the Rescue!

Yesterday, Andy started to not feel well and by 8pm had chills, nausea, and was aching. So, he went to bed. Around 11:30pm, I awoke to nausea and made a quick beeline for the bathroom. I continued to get up sick at least every hour overnight. Andy also did not get/feel any better. In the meantime, AJ got up 3 times last night and there were a couple of times that I had to rush from the changing table with him to the bathroom in the nick of time. At 5am, I remembered I had prescription anti-nausea medication that was left over from when I had the stomach flu while pregnant with AJ, so I found those and took one dose. God Bless Zofran! Andy, meanwhile, was still in bed and feeling the same.

So at 8am, I called in a favor with Uncle Jason. I was scared that AJ would get this and if he started vomiting, would end up in the hospital from dehydration. Uncle Jason arrived (and shoveled our driveway and sidewalk!) and scooped Mr. AJ away to stay home with him. AJ is obviously having a good time as the picture indicates.

After much sleep, I'm feeling better and might even attempt to eat something. Andy is still in bed and does not feel any better yet. Thanks Uncle Jason!!

AJ's first snow!

AJ got to see his first snow today! Granted, we have all of 1-2 inches, but we were excited nonetheless. Considering December and most of January were way above average (in the 50s and 60s), we're pretty surprised to see the white stuff. Of course, since we've been spoiled by warm weather, the 32 degrees it is today is BONE CHILLING!

Spending time with Uncle Todd

After AJ's "photo shoot" Uncle Todd got in some quality time. Just two dudes hanging out. Luckily for Todd, there were not any mishaps with spit up, diaper blowouts, or mucus bombs from sneezing (sorry Uncle Jason!).

AJ's Latest Photo Shoot

We took AJ to get some more professional photos and of course he was a charmer!! The ladies just swooned over him, too. He wore his Virginia State Police bib until he got his pictures done because we were afraid he'd spit up all over his outfit (thanks Uncle Jason & Aunt Katie!!). As usual, we ordered lots of pictures and we'll be sharing them when they're in!

AJ's First Cold

AJ came down with his first cold yesterday. Poor little guy has a stuffed up nose, cough, watery eyes, and just generally feels crappy. Jill took him to his 4 month well check up this morning and stayed with him until Andy could come home around lunch time to watch him while she went on to work. They would not give him his vaccinations because he was under the weather, so he'll have to come back towards the end of the week to get those when he's feeling better (so he can feel crappy all over again!).

4 month well check up stats: Weight-14 pounds, 8 ounces (50% percentile); Length-25 1/2 inches (75th percentile); Head-16 1/2 inches (45th percentile)

4 Months Old!

Today AJ is 4 months old!! We cannot believe how fast the time has flown by! Our little boy is looking more and more like a little man, especially now that his hair is coming in more and he's beginning to grab things with his hands now, including Mommy's hair. He celebrated his "birthday" by jumping in his Jumperoo, eating, taking a bath, and spending time with Mommy & Daddy.

Bath Time!

AJ started day care this past Tuesday and his Mommy went back to work, too. :-( We think that AJ has made a better adjustment than Jill! All of the ladies that watch him say that he's so good and they adore him. Of course, AJ adores all of the attention from the ladies. Unfortunately, he decided to stop sleeping through the night right before Christmas and increased his waking times in the middle of the night the same week we all started to get on the new "schedule". We believe his acid reflux is acting up again and his appointment this Tuesday cannot come fast enough. Needless to say, we're quite pooped now!

An addition to our new schedule is every-other-night baths for Mr. Dude. AJ still doesn't like his bath, but at least he stopped screaming during the entire process. Hopefully the second week of day care/work will be better for us all!

Our Own Jumping Bean

AJ LOVES his Jumperoo! We put him in it just to see what he'd do and he immediately started jumping! He loves it so much that now whenever he is NOT in his Jumperoo, he still wants to jump. He's jumped at resturants in Mommy's lap, in church in Mommy's lap, and at home in both Mommy's & Daddy's laps. Needless to say, our arms are pretty tired! In fact, he's even jumped himself into exhaustion as you can see!

Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Thomasson

AJ had his first Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Thomasson a little before New Years. His uncles made sure that he was festively adorned and by the end of the Christmas weekend, he was pretty pooped.
